In a dedicatory speech, Pr, Dr. Emmanuel Harrison Takyi, the University Chaplain, reiterated Psalm 127: 1, “except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it; except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh in vain”. He admonished the Security Department not only to put the vehicles to good use, but to rely on God in the execution of their daily duties.
After the dedicatory prayer, Pr. Ebenezer Quaye, the Associate Chaplain, handed over the items to SWO Alfred Quaye, the head of the Safety and Security Unit of the University. SWO Quaye received the items on behalf of the Unit and pledged that he would ensure judicious use and regular maintenance to expand the lifespan of the items.
