As an active member of the Business Administration Students Association (BASA) and a founding member of the students’ gymnasium, Joshua loved the high level of discipline and wholistic education here at Valley View University (VVU) which has helped him build the values of excellence relevant for society today.
Joshua Elikplim Agbo chose VVU because, he has always wanted Christian based tertiary education in a serene and conducive environment, which he found here at VVU.
Recollecting memories of his four-year stay at VVU, Joshua tells us he had a good time with his student life including his service as a pioneer treasurer/financial secretary for the gymnasium. Joshua loved the community service activities like the work-study programme and worship service here at VVU.
Joshua gained admission in 2000 to read Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Accounting option in Valley View University (VVU) and graduated with distinction in 2004.
After his four year degree programme, he has worked as a banker with over a decade experience spanning across Microfinance, Retail, Commercial and Corporate Banking space in Ghana. He has previously worked with the following organisations;
ü Access Bank Ghana Limited – Commercial Banking Manager
ü Intercontinental Bank Ghana Limited – SME Banking Manager
ü Ashesi University College – Assistant Finance Officer
ü Ghana Atomic Energy Commission – Assistant Accounts Officer (National Service)
He now holds two Masters of Business Administration in Banking and Finance from Valley View University and the Central University. He is also a Certified Associate of Business Administration in Project Management from the Almond Institute (Formerly, Graduate School of Governance and Leadership). And as part of his training, he has attended several local and international courses for professional guidance.
Joshua volunteers as a member of the Board of Trustees for Palm Institute of Strategic Leadership. The board provides advisory services and strategic focus for the management of this accredited tertiary educational institution situated in Accra, Ghana. This is part of a voluntary pro bono service in giving back to society towards the training of the next generation of African leaders. He mentions some of his achievements as:

ü Non-executive Directorship in Hedge Capital Limited and Access Solutions Ghana Limited.
ü Business Start-up Specialist and a Social Entrepreneur.
ü 14th District Quarter Master of Knights of St. John International (KSJI) and 1st Vice President of Madina Commandery (Catholic friendly organisation).
Currently Joshua Elikplim Agbo is working as a Corporate and Investment Banking Manager in the Public Sector Group of Fidelity Bank Ghana Limited.
He loves watching movies, listening to music, walking & jogging, hiking, driving and travelling.
He has developed an acronym for the guiding principles of his life which he advises his fellow colleagues to follow; TIDE: Trust in God, Integrity, Discipline, and Excellence.
