Valley View University spoke against the motion, "The Independence of African States is Organized Independence by the West" whilst University of Ghana spoke for the motion. Both sides argued fiercely and were able to present their arguments confidently. Their performance was so impressive that they were admired by not only their fellow schoolmates, but also the judges.
Ebenezer Derek Akwanga PhD, the judge who gave the comments, praised all the debaters for their great effort in reacting to their opponents’ arguments and their rebuttals.
In the end, the judges gave the edge to the University of Ghana, second place to UPSA and Valley View University took the 3rd position. The aforementioned position was achieved through the great efforts of Benjamin Nana Agyei Darko, Benjamin Brew, both from the School of Theology and Missions, and Priscilla Ofosuhemaa Asiedu from the School of Nursing and Midwifery.
Congratulations, students!
