Dr. Daniel Faakye, the Chief Operations Officer of University Ventures, expressed optimism about the future of the bakery, stating, "We are hopeful to open more branches across Ghana to bring our quality products closer to the people."
The first day of operations featured promotional sales, drawing a large crowd of excited customers eager to sample the bakery's products and sachet water from the University’s water factory. To further engage the community, Mrs. Harriet A. N. Asare, Ag. Director of University Relations Directorate and some representatives of the SRC assisted with the distribution of the university programmes brochures, showcasing Valley View University's diverse programme offerings.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Professor Winfred O. Larkotey, who graced the occasion, commended the bakery team, led by Mrs Abigail Amankwah for their hard work in bringing the project to fruition. He encouraged the team to continue their dedication to making Valley View University a beacon of excellence and ensuring the growth of the bakery.
This new depot represents Valley View University's commitment to serving the community and expanding its influence beyond academics. It also aligns with the institution's vision of becoming a centre of excellence in service delivery.
